How and where are your products made?
Each of The Wild and the Tame's products is professionally handmade by me, Chantelle, a Kent based mum to two beautiful boys who inspired me to launch this independent brand. If you'd like to get to know me a little better, you can read more about me and the story behind The Wild and the Tame here.
So I can get your order to you as quickly as possible, some products are pre-made with love and care in my home studio and stored in sealed containers to keep them in pristine condition until they make their way to loving new homes.
As handmade products, no two are the same, meaning the fabric pattern placement differs from one product to the next and the item you receive may not be exactly as pictured on this website. If you'd like a particular part of a pattern included on your product, for example the little girl in the Forest Friends print, please include a note at the checkout and I'll do my best to pick an item that meets your request.
How long will my order take to arrive?
I dispatch all in-stock items within 1-2 working days, whilst pre-order products are dispatched in 1-2 weeks (3-4 weeks for Corduroy Dungarees and Pinafore Dresses). If any items in your order are labelled pre-order, your entire order will be dispatched once everything is ready.
I offer the choice of Standard or Express delivery at the checkout. If you're in the UK and opt for Express Delivery, your products should arrive within 1-2 days from dispatch, while you can expect UK Standard Delivery to reach you within 2-3 working days.
Deliveries to Europe should arrive within 5 days from dispatch and within 7 working days to the rest of the world.
Please note that these are normal delivery time and given the current Covid-19 pandemic both national and international mail is taking longer to arrive than usual.
You'll receive a dispatch email to let you know when your order is on the way.
How much does shipping cost?
UK orders over £40 qualify for FREE UK Standard Delivery, with the option to upgrade to Express Delivery for £2. For UK orders under £40, Standard Delivery is £2. I love to see my products heading off to far flung shores so I offer very competitive international delivery options, with delivery to Europe from as little as £3.50 and to the rest of the world from £6.40 for orders under £40.

Which payment methods do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards and Paypal, and offer buy now pay later options through Klarna. The checkout and payment processing within this site is completely secure.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes, I offer gift wrapping as well as full gift packaging:
GIFT WRAPPING
All orders are packaged in white cardboard mailing boxes as standard, with your precious items wrapped in delicate white spotted tissue paper. Use the tick box at the checkout to select complimentary gift wrapping and in addition to tissue paper, I will tie the inner package with ribbon so it's ready to gift to that special someone.
GIFT SETS AND BOXES
If you'd like your present to make a real impression, I also offer the option of full gift packaging. Luxury white gift boxes available in several sizes and are delivered within an outer cardboard box to make sure they arrive in perfect condition. Either add a gift box and individual products to your cart to create a unique gift hamper, or select from one of my curated gift sets in my bestselling fabric prints and not only will your gift be a sure hit, you'll also make a great saving. Whichever type of packaging you opt for, if you'd like your gift to be delivered directly to the recipient, simply enter their address at the checkout. To reduce paper waste, I don't include paper invoices in any packages, so you won't have to worry about any payment details being included.
And don't forget to add a Greeting Card (already included in all gift sets)! I'd be more than happy to write your personalised message for you - simply enter your message in the 'notes' box at the checkout.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! I offer Gift Cards from £20 to £100. Choose a Digital Gift Card and it'll be instantly delivered to you by email, ready to print or forward on to someone special. Or opt for a beautifully packaged Paper Gift Card if you'd still like your loved one to have the experiences of "opening" your gift.

The products I'm interested in is sold out, will it be available again soon?
Since I handmake in small batches and all of the fabric prints I use are limited edition, some products may not currently be in stock and will either show as:
PRE-ORDER
When I don't have pre-made items in stock, a product will be labelled "pre-order". There's usually a 1-2 week turnaround on pre-order items but please double check individual product pages for information on lead times.
OUT OF STOCK OR SOLD OUT
Sadly these products are sold out and are no longer available but there's always a silver lining: this means I've been able to invest in gorgeous new fabrics and products which I'm busy behind the scenes, preparing to launch. Is everything machine washable?
As a busy mum myself, I certainly don't have time for handwashing. So you'll be pleased to know that all of my fabric items are machine washable - pretty and practical!

What if I change my mind?
Of course, I hope when you receive your order it'll be love at first sight! However, if you change your mind or aren't satisfied with your purchase please contact me within 14 days of receipt and I'll be happy to guide you through the refund or exchange process. You can read my returns policy here.
